Student Support Services (SSS)
Student Support Services (SSS) is a component of the nation-wide initiative known as TRIO. These programs are funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The goals of the SSS Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are to enhance the academic performance and increase the retention and graduation rates of its participants, while helping students prepare for careers after graduating.
Student Support Services is the link between students and university policies, procedures and resources. By providing staff counselors and other support staff, SSS will work one-on-one with student participants to counsel, advise, and guide them in whatever capacity needed from their freshmen year to graduation.
