$.00The Ralph Pruitt Scholarship Fund - The Ralph Pruitt Fund was the first fund established by the Foundation, and the first scholarship funded by MAEOPP. Dr. Ralph Pruitt was a math professor at Cleveland Sate University, Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Pruitt was one of the founders of MAEOPP.top
$.00The James B. Hamilton Scholarship Fund - The James B. Hamilton Fund provides support for the James B. Hamilton Research Scholars Award. Dr. Hamilton was a faculty member in chemistry at Michigan State University. Initial financial support for the fund was provided by the Michigan Chapter of MAEOPP. Dr. Ruth Hamilton continues to support the fund.top
$.00The Silas Purnell Scholarship Fund - The Silas Purnell Fund was established by the Board of Directors of the Foundation in 2000. Initial support was provided by two Foundation board members and the Illinois Chapter of MAEOPP. Silas Purnell worked for Talent Search at the Ada S. McKinley Community Center, Chicago. He is known nationally as an advocate for equal access for low-income and first-generation students. He is directly responsible for literally thousands of students gaining access to and succeeding in higher education. Silas has a national alumni of students who participated in his Talent Search Program in Chicago who have gone on to accomplish great things in higher education and in the private sector.top
$.00The Charles Cantale Scholarship Fund - Chuck Cantale was a founding board member and the first president of the MAEOPP Education Foundation. The Charles Cantale Fund was established by the board of directors of the Foundation in 2000, and initially funded by Charles Cantale. The awarding of this scholarship has not begun yet.top
$.00The President's Council - The President's Council was created in 2000 by the MEF Board to provide access to significant contributions from private sources, the membership, friends of MAEOPP and individuals who support equal access to higher education for high-achieving, low-income and first-generation college students. In particular, the President's Council honors those persons who have served as president of their chapter, MAEOPP, MEF and COE. The President's Council was also established to honor those persons who have chaired committees at the chapter, MAEOPP, MEF and COE levels, and persons who have attained similar positions in the private sector and in their own enterprises. The President's Council recognizes the leadership and the contributions such persons continue to make to equal access and the educational attainment of our students.top
$.00The Arnold Mitchem Graduate Scholarship - The Arnold Mitchem Graduate Scholarship was established in 2004 by the Wisconsin Chapter of MAEOPP (WAEOPP) to provide financial support for students pursuing doctoral degrees. This scholarship is named in honor of Dr. Arnold L. Mitchem, the first President of MAEOPP, and first and current president of the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE). The awarding of this scholarship has not begun yet.top
