Multicultural Career Fair
Dear Recruiters:
The Office of Minority Student Affairs invites your registration for the Multicultural Career Fair in Rooms ABC at the Illini Union, 1401 W. Green St., Urbana, IL. Please register online at: go.illinois.edu/careerfair
Sign up to participate in both days or only the career fair on the first day. Day 1 is the career fair, during which you can meet diverse students from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. who are interested in internships/cooperatives, and permanent employment. If you choose to participate in Day 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., you may conduct formal interviews with those students you selected on Day 1, or use this day to conduct resume reviews, mock interviews, etc.(Please let us know how you plan to spend your time if you stay for Day 2.)
The Multicultural Career Fair is the only diversity career fair offered on this campus. Attendees include freshmen to graduate-level students studying a wide range of disciplines . Fifty-seven percent of UI students come from the top 10 percent of their high school classes, and more than 26 percent of domestic undergraduates are students of color.
If your organization is interested in participating, please complete the registration form online and forward the $225 registration fee ($40 for nonprofits and Urbana-Champaign campus units) to our office. The late registration fee is $275 ($50 for nonprofits and UI campus units).
On this Web site you should find all the information you need to participate in the career fair, including a map, parking and hotel details, shipping instructions, and more. Refreshments and snacks will be available for recruiters during both days of the career fair, but lunch is on your own. There is a food court in the basement of the Union, and many other restaurants are within walking distance.
The Multicultural Career Fair is a valuable opportunity for employers and students, and we look forward to helping connect you with talented Illinois students. Please contact us if you need assistance or have questions.
Sincerely,
Susan McKenna
