Dear December Graduates:
On behalf of the Office of Minority Student Affairs, I would like to wish you a heart-felt congratulations on your upcoming graduation. This is truly a milestone occasion!
At the University of Illinois, The Office of Minority Student Affairs coordinates a celebration for December graduates who are interested in participating in a smaller more personal graduation ceremony. On a campus of this size, it is important to share this once in a lifetime experience amongst a community of friends, academic professionals, and staff who have been more visible and immediate throughout your experience as a student. The Multicultural Congratulatory is proud to serve this purpose and is our final expression of gratitude for the pride we feel toward your accomplishments.
The 2008 Multicultural Congratulatory will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at 6:00 pm in the Smith Memorial Hall Auditorium. The convenience of the program will also allow you to attend your specific college convocation ceremonies as well.
Graduates have a variety of items to include in their graduation package. The mandatory registration fee of $15 includes a souvenir certificate and souvenir picture. Due to limited time, we will not offer additional itmes this year. Payment is accepted by cash or money order only.
To participate in the Multicultural Congratulatory, please complete all eight registration tasks including filling out the online registration form, submitting your payment by the specified deadline, and ordering your cap and gown online through Herff-Jones. Payment must be received at the Office of Minority Student Affairs located at 610 East John Street in the Fred H. Turner Student Services Building, Champaign.
